Care Leaver of the Month

This award is for any professionals to nominate any young person who you feel has made a significant progress in any aspect of their life. Examples of this could be:

  • EET Achievement
  • Stability in placement
  • Attendance of support services and progress in certain areas
  • Independent living skills
  • Good transition into adulthood
  • Good participation – eg: CLIC
  • University achievement/ continuing with education.

All nominations will go to Jazmine Walker( Head of Service) for her to read. A winner of this award will receive a voucher, a certificate, and a personalised card. 

Annually it will be decided who is the overall winner for the year and they will receive an award at the Care Leavers annual awards.

Child in care of the Month

This award is for any professionals to nominate any child who is currently in care who have achieved something important to them this month. Examples of this could be:

  • Achievements at home
  • Developing independence skills
  • Progress at school/college
  • Developing social skills
  • Taking part in extracurricular activities/ clubs

All nominations will go to the Children in Care Council for them to decide on winners and will also go to Jazmine Walker( Head of Service) for her to read. Each month the winner of the award will receive a voucher, a certificate, and a personalised card.

Worker of the Month

This aware is for any young person to nominate any staff member who has gone above and beyond to support a young person. The winner will be decided by our Children in Care Council ( CiCC) and Care Leavers Forum and will be shared with team managers.
